Aquaculture Toolkits for the classroom

The Maine 4H Cooperative Extension, Maine EPSCoR, the Sustainable Ecological Aquaculture Research Network (SEANET), and the University of Maine Aquaculture Research Institute have developed "Aquaculute Toolkits" for educators. The toolkits are designed to be used in a variety of settings from formal classrooms to informal afterschool programs or summer camps. The toolkits provide the materials and instructions for several hands on activities to get students engaged with science and aquaculture.

The aquaculture toolkits are desinged for grades 5-8. There are also toolkits for grades 3-5 and K-2 focused on sea vegtables and basic marine identification respectively.
