What is Sea Level Rise?

Data shows that sea level rise is rising. We experience some of these impacts as more frequent and intense coastal storms and flooding events. Dig into data from NOAA’s satellites and coastal stations to analyze how sea level is changing at a coastal location near you.

Sea level rise is going to have many impacts along the coastline; such as flooding roads, buildings, beaches, and marshes. Consider how sea level rise may impact coastal habitats that are home to many species.
